Write a post that lists 10 things that make a video good and 10 things that make a video bad. In other words - what makes you stick around and watch the video and what makes you tune out and shut it off? How long does it take you to turn off a bad video?

• Using comedy regularly to make dull moments funny

• Using a nice pattern of colors
• Having a happy friendly voice if there is a narration
• Using nice pictures because people love pictures
• Make a video on something people care about and not on something like the viscosity of snail trail
• Open the video with a hook that grabs the viewers’ attention
• Have a show don’t tell attitude, so don’t talk about explosions show explosions
• Be passionate about what the vide is about
• Using a lot of big boring words
• Being very serious and not using very much comedy
• Using a very monotone voice
• Not having a nice array of colors
• Having a lot of text on the screen because people don’t like to read
• Doing a video on something nobody cares about
• Have a weak intro to the video
• Not being creative, so no cool music or design to the video
• If the person in the video isn’t happy people can tell, so it affects the viewers’ opinion

It takes me at least 2 minutes into the video to decide if the video is boring or not.
Things that keep me watching are if I know the Filmer and like his/her style of videos. also, if the Filmer is funny and keeps me entertained i keep watching.

4 Don't stall for more then 30 seconds.
5 Stupid decisions also keep you entertained.
6 Facts can be used for interest but they have to take less time or else they don't mean anythings to anyone.
7 Destroying things also can intrigue people.
8 Never go over 1 minute with a single fact even if you go on about the same thing give more facts.
9 Rambling on looses your attention.
10 Pop culture references can keep people watching.
11 Grainy picture should not be used unless for obvious artistic effect.
12 Bad animation means nothing.
13 Exact timing makes a video feel robotic.
14 Long lists bore people so keep them below 21.
15 People like lists.
16 Contradiction can be quite funny.
17 Don't cut footage for a clip you didn't make (it is fine in the background).
18 Edit your videos to not include the start and very end of the recording nobody wants the ok is the camera on bit.
19. Don't extend the video by making it slower.
20 AND ESPECIALLY DO NOT REPLAY THE VIDEO AT THE END AT HALF SPEED IT IS ANNOYING TO EVERYONE.
